Chelsea want to transfer up to 130 million euros for Lukaku to Inter Milan

The transfer of the Belgian star striker Romelu Lukaku from the Italian soccer champions Inter Milan to the English Champions League winners FC Chelsea is perfect after a day-long game. The Blues announced the signing of the 28-year-old striker on Thursday evening, one day after their triumph in the European Supercup against Villarreal.

Lukaku receives a contract with the club of the German team manager Thomas Tuchel and the national players Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Antonio Rüdiger until 2026. There was initially no information about the amount of the transfer fee for Inter, where the attacker had a contract until 2024 .

Inter had asked for 130 million euros in the first negotiations with Chelsea, while the Londoners are said to have offered only 105 million euros. According to information from SPOX and goal the clubs have now agreed on a transfer fee of 115 million euros.

“It’s been a long road for me: I came here as a child and come back with experience and maturity,” said Lukaku when announcing his transfer, with a view to his first engagement with the Blues.

The 98-time international (64 goals) had already been under contract at Stamford Bridge from 2011 to 2014. However, Chelsea first loaned the center forward to West Bromwich Albion and then to Everton, who subsequently signed Lukaku. After three years with the Toffees, the Antwerp-born man signed up for the English record champions Manchester United before Lukaku left England in 2019 and moved to Inter.

Lukaku leaves a big void in Milan. Lukaku made a significant contribution to Inter’s championship win last season with 24 goals. As a replacement for the power pack, the former Wolfsburg Bundesliga professional Edin Dzeko from Milan’s league competitor AS Roma is under discussion.
