Mohamed Salah's contract with Liverpool will expire in summer 2023.

Mohamed Salah’s contract with Liverpool will expire in summer 2023. In order to extend his expiring contract in the long term, the 29-year-old is allegedly calling for a top transfer.

As Sky reported, Salah would like to have another world-class striker by his side in the near future. The demand should be part of the contract negotiations.

In the recent past, Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund and Jonathan David from OSC Lille, who could also move to Real Madrid due to an alleged swap deal, have been linked with the Reds.

Salah, on the other hand, has no great interest in leaving Liverpool FC. At the end of October, he had even announced that he could imagine ending his career in Anfield.

However, the decision would be in the hands of his management, who would have to solve the “problem”, stressed the Egyptian. Meanwhile, coach Jürgen Klopp insists on an extension of the contract.

Klopp wants to extend with Salah: When? “It doesn’t matter at all”

“I want it to happen, but when? I don’t care,” he said, confirming that talks had already taken place.

Klopp admitted: “Extending a contract with a player like Mo is not something that you meet for a cup of tea in the afternoon and come to an agreement.”

Salah moved from AS Roma to Liverpool FC in 2017 for 42 million euros. Since then, he has scored 147 goals and 56 assists in 227 games. In the current season Salah already has 33 points scorer in 24 games.
