Manchester City stands according to information from SPOX and Goal just before a transfer from Aston Villas creative player Jack Grealish.
For the 25-year-old Englishman, a sum of around 117.5 million euros is due – a record for the Skyblues and the Premier League. The change should be finalized in the next few days.
Manchester City makes an exception for Grealish
City coach Pep Guardiola had actually ruled out transfers of this magnitude for this summer, the English champions are now making an exception for Vice European Champion Grealish.
With his move, the 12-time national player replaces Paul Pogba, who moved from Juventus Turin to Manchester United for 105 million euros in 2016, as the most expensive player in league history.
Grealish had already come to Villa’s junior academy as a six-year-old and since then has always played for the club from Birmingham in the 2013/14 season, with the exception of a nearly one-year loan to Notts County. Last season he scored seven goals and twelve assists in 27 competitive appearances.
