Shaqiri and Nathaniel Philips before transfer

Xherdan Shaqiri and Nathaniel Phillips are available according to information from SPOX and Goal before saying goodbye to Liverpool FC. The duo was already missing in the squad for the Reds’ test match against Osasuna on Monday, so that a possible injury does not prevent a transfer.

Olympique Lyon are particularly interested in Shaqiri. The French have already made an offer for the Swiss international, but the offer is still well below what Liverpool envisions for the offensive man. Other clubs from Italy and Spain are also involved in Shaqiri, the most concrete being Lazio Rome so far.

Liverpool want to take 18 million euros with Shaqiri

Brighton, Burnley and Newcastle are interested in Phillips, who played for VfB Stuttgart in the 2nd Bundesliga in his career. After the return of Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip, who were injured in the previous season, he is only the fifth choice for the central defender position at the Reds.

Liverpool has estimated a transfer fee of around 18 million euros each for both players. So far, however, no club has been prepared to put this amount on the table for either of them.
