Because of the corona pandemic, Tottenham Hotspur made a loss of the equivalent of 95 million euros last season. The liabilities rose by the end of June by 119 million to 839 million euros.

The Premier League club announced on Tuesday. Because of the ghost games, audience income fell from 112 to 2.3 million euros.

“With no less than three lockdowns, our operations were seriously disrupted,” said Tottenham’s club boss Daniel Levy.

The Spurs were particularly hard hit because they had just opened their € 1.4 billion new stadium with a capacity of 63,000 spectators.
