First win of the season in the 3rd division at Halleschen FC

Second division relegated Eintracht Braunschweig celebrated their first win of the season in the third division in the third attempt.

The Löwen won at Halleschen FC with their first league goals 2-0 (1-0) and thus left the relegation zone. The hosts, on the other hand, left the field as losers for the first time and thus missed the leap into the circle of pursuers of surprise leader Viktoria Berlin.

Loan player Luc Ihorst (42nd, penalty kick) ended Braunschweig’s previous goal doldrums in the championship. Six minutes before the end of the game, Jannis Nikolaou made the decision in favor of coach Michael Schiele’s team.

The victory at the Saale also meant a successful compensation for the ex-champions for the 0: 4 defeat at the season’s home premiere against Berlin.
