"Before we get wrong quotations again ..."

BVB coach Marco Rose could not resist a small tip against the media after the 3-2 win against TSG Hoffenheim.

“Before quoting wrongly again or just quoting the things that I criticize, I just say: Yes, the coach is happy today,” Rose introduced his analysis at DAZN.

Rose was obviously angry that primarily the negative topics were picked out of his past game analyzes. Rose recently “criticized” a lack of frustration tolerance among top scorer Erling Haaland, the number of goals conceded at the start of the season or “fundamental things” after the 1: 2 in Freiburg.

However, Rose does not see the start of the season for Borussia as badly as it has been portrayed in public. That is why Rose was particularly satisfied after the 3-2 win against TSG: “Because we got three points. Because we showed a willpower behind us. Because we played a very dominant first half.”

Rose sees the need for optimization – a break is a convenient one

But the new coach of Borussia could not completely get out of his skin. “In the second half there were a lot of things that we still want to talk about,” he said: “The game with the ball, safety behavior, positional play and the game activity in the last third to get even clearer chances.”

There is no question that BVB still needs optimization after three match days. “But if you win this game 3-2, it gives you the peace and quiet to keep working on it,” noted Rose. The international break is very convenient for BVB in view of the many injuries at this early point in the season.

The next league game for BVB is not due until September 11th. Then it’s in the Bundesliga against Bayer Leverkusen.
