BVB – Transfernews: Bürki probably refused Basel loan

Roman Bürki, currently only the third BVB goalkeeper, has apparently refused a short-term loan to FC Basel. That reports Sport1. Accordingly, BVB was even ready to take over large parts of the Swiss goalkeeper’s salary.

Bürki nevertheless refused. Now Dortmund run the risk of being left with the 30-year-old, who is reportedly the top earner among goalkeepers with five million euros per year.

Bürki had lost his regular position between the Dortmund posts after some uncertainties and mistakes in the course of the past season to compatriot Marwin Hitz. For the new season, BVB also got a new number one in Gregor Kobel.

Bürki, who had only extended his contract in Dortmund until 2023 in 2020, is threatened with the existence of a permanent reservist. According to reports, the club does not have any major concerns that Bürki could disrupt the working atmosphere.

BVB – News: Pongracic in Dortmund probably topic

BVB could apparently strengthen again after the many failures on the defensive. As Sky and the kicker Coincidentally, central defender Marin Pongracic is to come on loan from VfL Wolfsburg. The Landshut native is currently only center-back number four at Lower Saxony and was not in the Wolves’ squad twice recently.

The 23-year-old, who only moved from RB Salzburg to Wolfsburg for ten million euros last winter, should strengthen the Dortmund squad in defense. There are currently two central defensive players in Mats Hummels and Dan-Axel Zagadou.

In addition, Pongracic can also play on the right, where BVB have always plagued stomach pains after the long absence of Mateu Morey, the weeks-long absence of Emre Can and the inconsistent appearances of Thomas Meunier and Felix Passlack. A recently rumored transfer from Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot, which SPOX and Goal had already reported as failed, is likely to have finally been smashed.

In Austria, Pongracic already played in Salzburg under Marco Rose, who he would now meet in Dortmund.

BVB transfers on Deadline Day: These deals are pending

Bürki and Pongracic are just two names that will be the subject of BVB on August 31, the last day of the summer transfer window. The last-minute sales candidates also include other Dortmund professionals:

  • Marius Wolf (26, contract until 2024): Has been on loan from other clubs for the past two seasons. May leave BVB.
  • Nico Schulz (28, contract until 2024): Despite its increase in performance at the beginning of this season, it is considered a sales candidate. Currently injured, interested parties are in short supply. The Turkish TV broadcaster A spor last brought him in connection with Fenerbahce.
  • Marcel Halstenberg (RB Leipzig): Was already considered a safe new addition to BVB, because nothing is happening in terms of Schulz sales, a transfer is hardly imaginable.
  • Callum Hudson-Odoi (Chelsea FC): BVB wants to borrow him, the player wants to go to BVB. Problem: Chelsea is standing sideways and will probably not let him go.
