BVB, News: Emre Can is out for weeks
Borussia Dortmund has to be loud kicker do without Emre Can for several weeks. The 27-year-old suffered a muscle injury in his thigh during training before BVB’s Bundesliga match against TSG Hoffenheim.
Coach Marco Rose had already confirmed the injury on Friday, but spoke of only a few days of downtime. “It’s a shame for the boy because he trained for the week and then got into problems. So of course he can’t pick up a rhythm, because he hadn’t had any preparation up to this point,” said Rose.
BVB, News: Haaland describes mood as “totally sick”
What would BVB be without Erling Haaland. In the 3-2 win against Hoffenheim, the striker from Norway scored the winning goal for the black and yellow in stoppage time. “I have to be ready when the opportunity presents itself,” said the 21-year-old afterwards to the TV broadcaster Viaplay: “It was wonderful.”
He described the atmosphere in the arena, which was filled with 25,000 spectators, after the redeeming goal, as “totally sick”, he was looking forward to it, “when 80,000 are there, the stadium will almost collapse.”
And who, if not Erling Haaland, should take care of it? “He’s a machine,” enthused Jude Bellingham, goalscorer for the 2-1 (69th), at DAZN: “I don’t have enough words to describe how good he is and what a good guy he is.”
BVB, rumor: Dalot? That’s what Zorc says
After the sale of Thomas Delaney to Sevilla FC, Dortmund has some financial leeway. English media recently reported that Borussia was on the way to Manchester United’s right-back Diogo Dalot. The Portuguese, who can also be used offensively, fits into the requirement profile of the club.
“Let yourself be surprised what we will do. It’s not that long anymore,” said BVB sports director Michael Zorc when asked about Dalot at DAZN and did not really look into his cards.
BVB, News: Dortmund II meets Duisburg
The first team presented with the 3-2 win against Hoffenheim on Friday, the second BVB team would like to add in the derby. On Sunday at 1 p.m. Dortmund will receive MSV Duisburg in the 3rd division.
So far, things have been going well for the BVB newcomers. Eight points were collected from five games, and the first defeat of the season was only on Wednesday when VfL Osnabrück lost 2-1.
