FCB, News: Schumacher believes in a long new career

Ex-national goalkeeper Toni Schumacher (67) expects world goalkeeper Manuel Neuer to be on the pitch for a few more years. “If Manuel is fit, he can play well into old age. I trust him that he will still be on the pitch at 38 or 39,” said the Cologne club icon Sport-1-Podcast “My Bavaria Week”.

A career end at over 40 years of age is also possible, “as Dino Zoff has shown,” said Schumacher: “As long as he is in the mood, he should play. From my own experience I can say that it is still good at 42 years of age works.”

Schumacher also cited Neuer’s professionalism off the field as the reason for his forecast. “He does autogenic training, even yoga. He does everything to be physically and mentally fit for his strategic task in goal,” he said: “I can imagine that he will continue to do this for a few more years.”

Bavaria, rumor: Lewandowski annoyed by Haaland rumors

As the picture-Zeitung reports, Robert Lewandowski is dissatisfied due to the lack of appreciation of the Bayern bosses. Primarily, the Pole is said to be upset that BVB-Knipser Erling Haaland has been increasingly associated with a move to Säbener Straße in recent weeks.

Those responsible for the record champions recently raved about the young Norwegian in the highest tones. “Sure, this is a top player, a super boy, as I hear. You look at it,” said FCB sports director Hasan Salihamidzic in Sport-1– “one-two”. The rumors about the Norwegian are incomprehensible to the Pole.

At the same time, Lewandowski should wait for a signal from Munich regarding the extension of the contract. His contract expires in 2023, but the club has still not approached him. The fact that this has not been the case so far should also bother the Pole.
