BVB sports director Michael Zorc told an anecdote about his long-time companion Hans-Joachim Watzke. The 58-year-old also spoke about working with player agent Mino Raiola.
“He’s so pessimistic, that’s cruel,” Zorc told im WDR2-Podcast “Simply Football” with a dose of irony about the Dortmund manager. “If all his predictions had come true in recent years, I would be working in the third division somewhere now.”
In addition, the 58-year-old also spoke about working with the much-criticized player agent from Erling Haaland, Mino Raiola. “In the past few years I have dealt with numerous consultants – that is probably in the three-digit range. And I have to break a lance for this Mino Raiola,” said Zorc.
The media would show “an exaggerated picture” of the 53-year-old. “The conversations we had with him and the things we did with him are characterized by a high level of professionalism,” said Zorc.
Above all, the sports director from Dortmund emphasized Raiola’s sincerity: “You know what you get. You know that there will be no Mother Theresa with you. If you know that beforehand, you can be prepared for it.”
