BVB – News: Mats Hummels’ comeback is getting closer
Mats Hummels is still suffering from knee problems that made him miss the start of the season. But now the defender from Borussia Dortmund gave an update that makes you sit up and take notice.
On the sidelines of the Supercup against FC Bayern on Tuesday (1: 3), Hummels said in an interview with sky: “It looks pretty good for me. The plan is that I fly to Freiburg – in whatever role.”
Hummels left it open whether he could actually play. “I haven’t trained for a long time,” said Hummels, explaining that the resumption of training has been positive for him so far. “Right now everything is working. Every step I take works well. I have now also partially started team training. And then let’s see how far I have come.”
Hummels’ return would be important for BVB, which is currently plagued by failures in central defense. Most recently, midfielder Axel Witsel had to help out at the back of the back four.
BVB – News: Michael Zorc rules out a move from Erling Haaland this year
Erling Haaland will obviously definitely not leave BVB in this transfer window. At least that’s what sports director Michael Zorc said.
Zorc announced on Tuesday before the Supercup against Bayern Sat 1: “He will definitely stay this season. We all don’t know what will happen after that.”
Zorc himself provided one reason for Haaland’s temporary stay: “He’s also happy that he can finally play in front of spectators. That was one of the reasons why he switched to BVB. BVB – Rumor: Borussia is interested in HSV professional Joshua Vagnoman
