Jürgen Klopp recently without glasses

Jürgen Klopp has dropped a trademark: his glasses. “I think my face is weird without glasses, but I don’t need them anymore,” said the Liverpool team manager at Picture TV.

He explained: “I’ve been wearing glasses since I was ten years old – that’s 44 years. The problem in recent years has been that glasses could no longer correct my poor eyesight. The solution was a small intervention.”

Now he can get along well without the visual aid. “I may need one more,” said the 54-year-old: “If that happens, I’ll wear glasses again.”

Jürgen Klopp on Erling Haaland: “A force of nature”

Erling Haaland also made a big impression on Jürgen Klopp. “The boy is a force of nature,” said the Liverpool FC team manager: “When he celebrated a goal, he hit the ball and I wasn’t sure if there was a dent in the ground.”

Klopp wished his ex-club Borussia Dortmund that he could continue to enjoy the Norwegian striker’s qualities for a long time to come. “Sooner or later he will be discussed at major clubs. I don’t know whether that will be the case next year, but then Dortmund will have to counter it,” said the 54-year-old.

Klopp left it open whether he would like to lure Haaland to Anfield Road himself: “I really like the energy he brings to the pitch. But in general he would look good on most teams.”
