Newcastle United apparently want to make Jesse Lingard a record earner

In the fight against relegation from the Premier League, the newly rich traditional club Newcastle United apparently wants to start a transfer offensive in the winter – and, among other things, sign national player Jesse Lingard from record champions Manchester United.

It is said that discussions have already taken place between the Magpies and Lingard’s advisors. Newcastle is said to lure Lingard with a four and a half year contract and a salary of the equivalent of six million euros per annum. That would make him the club’s new record earner, his salary would be significantly higher than that of the current Primus Miguel Almiron.

Lingard’s contract with ManUnited expires next summer. In view of the irregular missions with the Red Devils, Lingard should think about a farewell. So January would be the last opportunity for Manchester to get a fee for the home-grown house if they leave. Newcastle are ready to offer a “substantial” sum for Lingard.

Newcastle United: is Dembele coming too?

The 32-time international has also been linked with a return to West Ham United. He was loaned to the Hammers in the second half of the preseason and performed well.

Newcastle United, which was taken over by a Saudi Arabian state fund a few weeks ago, is currently bottom of the Premier League table. The gap to the saving bank is six points. The club recently fired Steve Bruce and hired Eddie Howe as the new trainer.

A lot of transfer rumors are circulating around the club. Among other things, the name of the former Dortmund Ousmane Dembele (FC Barcelona) should be high on the shopping list. Allegedly, Newcastle has already made the winger an offer “at an astronomical rate”.
